  • The camera had some issues capturing the depth of the layers, but it looks very trippy! What other kind of motifs could look cool using this technique? 🤔

    NerdforgeNerdforge2 ամիս առաջ
    • I think it looks trippy as the "inside" of the tree with the glow is painted on the layers after you painted the tree. You could have done base layer of tree, then the glowy bit, and after that 1-2 more layers of the tree to create the 3d effect properly. Also, wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy smaller layers between each. You only need to juust about cover the paint with resin before doing the next layer.

  • Should have had ALOT more layers. Thinner resin layers. When they paint resin fish they take into account all views of the fish to make it look 3d. Sides. Front. Back. Top. Its why they work with such huge platforms for those fish.

  • that’s fucking beautiful

  • the clouds and mountains are totally covered by a tree. I think it's useless if only to show the layer you have made. well, I guess the main goal is to make layers of resin.

  • Interesting how one must think 4th dimensionally in order to create a 3 dimensional painting. Too bad the 3D effect doesn't show up so well on camera. I bet it's much more dimensionally intriguing in person. Looks like a lot of fun to create as well.

I got a bunch of plants from the nursery several months back.. they are still in their nursery pots because I can't freakin decide where I want to plant them for the rest of.. however long we have left on earth lol.

  • If you poured a thicker layer of resin for the foreground objects it would add a greater 3D look as the objects would physically be further away from the background. And maybe for a cool interactive book like painting you could pour all the layers separately and then just stack them on top of each other. Then if you wanted to see what was behind the tree you could just lift that layer off. Those mountains were beautiful and the tree completely hid them. Being able to remove the separate layers could also lead to changing the layers around. Like if you wanted an orange tree instead of a red one.

    Eric LivesayEric Livesay12 օր առաջ
  • That layer with the san rays and the glowing substance on the tree was mesmerizing

    Jelani LeeJelani Lee12 օր առաջ
  • The attention to detail in keeping the layers straight must have been challenging but it was so worth it. I can definitely see the 3D on the video but I am certain that the camera doesn't do it justice.
